Meh, IMO the greatest guitarist of all time is David Gilmour. His solos are crazy.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way! Yeah, he's amazing.

Everyone listed so far is incredibly good. There are almost too many fantastic guitar players.

Among my favorites not listed yet - Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, SRV, Larry Carlton, Jeff Baxter, Jimmy Page...

Another good, yet often overlooked guitarist is Dean Ween from the band, Ween. While most of their studio albums are...weird to say the least, they're probably one of the best live acts around today.

Not sure anyone realized but if you watched the video you can tell it's a complete joke.
It's some guy who dubbed his crappy guitaring over slash.

I was in tears, I thought it was so funny.
