An explanation on permission groups

I was checking out stuff on my profile & wondered what is the permission groups about? Is it similar to the groups that I see on other forums that has some of the same qualities as this forum? Is it possible for me to make some special group with it? I'd like 2 try something different here, spice things up. Or the only way I can spice things up here is by having some special albums I wanna show & call it a day? Hopefully this can be answered.

Yea, I was busy when we moved from woltlab forum to vbulletin , and I was focused to set the minimum options required to run the forum.

Advanced options like albums and groups were set to not allowed, but anyway, if you are interested and you would like to have your own album here , I can set it for you.Ok?

Thanks for responding. I think the forum had it easy for me to do a photo album, I just haven't done it yet.
